Yesterday I visited Ficklin Winery in Madera, California. Ficklin has been making Port since 1948 and it shows! For drinking now, I like the Aged 10 years Tawny Port, it is just the thing for enjoying an evening with friends and fine Cigars. For something different, try their Passport blends. These are full-bodied ruby port blended with fresh natural flavors of Hazelnut, Chocolate, Black Cherry or Raspberry. Great desserts by themselves or use them to make sauces for other desserts.
